By default, my Kingston mem. modules work at 667MHz on my Asus P5K motherboard. I set it to 800MHz manually from BIOS. These are my test results (method: best of 3):
Original memory clock (800MHz)
- latency – 71.7
- copy – 5751MB/s
- write – 6087 MB/s
- read – 7081MB/s
Default clock (667MHz, on Asus P5K when set to ‘Auto’)
- latency – 77.8
- copy – 5466MB/s
- write – 6084 MB/s
- read – 6469MB/s
UPDATE (24.02.2009.):
Original memory clock (800MHz) + Timings set to 4-4-4-12, 2.0V
- latency – 69.8
- copy – 5900MB/s
- write – 6080 MB/s
- read – 7078MB/s
Notice: this article is not overclocking 667 modules to 800. My memory should work at 800MHz by default! Lavalys Everest used: Ultimate Edition 4.5.1403 Beta
